William "Travis" Hare, 44, of Glenville, tragically passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore due to injuries sustained in a car accident. He was the devoted husband of Christina A. (Warner) Hare, with whom he shared 16 cherished years of marriage.

Born on November 16, 1980, in Westminster, Maryland, Travis was the beloved son of William Chester Hare, Jr., of Glenville, and the late Diane C. "Cooki" (Cook) Hare.

Travis was a 1999 graduate of Franklin High School in Reisterstown, Maryland. Following graduation, he apprenticed under his father at Koons Lincoln Mercury in Owings Mills, MD, before earning his certification at Mazda. Most recently, he worked at Manchester Motors, where he was highly regarded for his skill and dedication.

In 2004, Travis met the love of his life, Christina, and they married in 2008, embarking on a beautiful journey together. He was a proud and devoted father to their daughter, Alivia Marie Hare, who was his greatest joy.

A loyal Baltimore Ravens fan, Travis loved spending time by the ocean and on the water, where he found peace and happiness. He adored his three huskies and shared a special bond with them. Known for his sharp sense of humor and playful nature, Travis brought joy to his family and friends with his jokes and laughter. His selflessness and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character, he was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back.

Travis was deeply committed to his Masonic community. He was a proud member of Amicable St. John's Lodge #25 in Maryland and was both a Scottish Rite and York Rite Mason.

In addition to his wife Christina and his father William, Travis is survived by his daughter Alivia Marie Hare; his sister, Alisha Marie Helphenstine, and her husband, Patrick, of Hanover, and their children: Logan, Ian, Lilly, Kalin, and Trenton Helphenstine; his sister-in-law, Jennifer Hurt and her husband, Stefan, of Carlisle, and their children: Taylor, Stefan Jr., Ethan, Tristan, and Brian Hurt; his uncle, John David Hare, of Port Charlotte, FL; and his grandmother, Frances Cook, of Frederick, MD. Travis was also loved and cherished by many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane C. Hare; his uncle, Raymond A. Cook III; his maternal grandparents, Raymond A. Cook, Jr., and Janet C. Sholar; and his paternal grandparents, William C. Hare, Sr., and Doris K. Hare.

In keeping with Travis's wishes, there will be no public viewing. Following cremation, a celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, from 11 am – 4 pm at the Door to Virtue Lodge #46, AF&AM, 46 Monroe St. Westminster, MD 21157

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Travis's honor may be made to Olivia's House, 101 Baltimore Street, Hanover, PA 17331, to support their work in helping grieving families.

Travis's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
